The Seventh U7+ Summit took place in Ottawa on April 22 and 23, 2025.

On January 30-31, 2025, Université Côte d’Azur’s Initiative of Excellence hosted the 2nd edition of the U7+ Alliance Presidential Delegates Meeting in Nice, France. 

The U7+ Alliance reaffirmed its commitment to climate action and sustainability at COP29 in Baku in November 2024, ensuring that universities remain at the forefront of global climate discussions.

The U7+ Student Forum 2024 was held in September 2024 and organized by École Polytechnique. The event brought together students from 18 universities across the U7+ Alliance network, including institutions from France, Canada, Italy, Japan, Germany, Ghana, Senegal, and the United States.

From May 15 to 17, 2024, the Institut National Polytechnique Félix Houphouët-Boigny (INP-HB) hosted the final of the Third edition of the U7+ Student Challenge.

In a time of rapidly changing and increasingly unstable geopolitics, the members of the U7+ Alliance of World Universities are working together to address challenges related to access to education, in order to strengthen networks and continue to build global capacity to address some of society’s most pressing problems.

The third edition of the U7+ Worldwide Student Forum, Peace and Security – What commitments can students make to support universities as engines of innovation in peace and security? was hosted by École Polytechnique and consisted of six events held virtually.

More than 75 university leaders from 16 countries convened at Keio University in Japan this week and called on G7 leaders to invest in peace and security education at all levels, lower barriers to student exchanges that foster cross-cultural understanding, and defend academic freedom.

At the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) that took place in 2022 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, the U7+ Alliance held an official side event, Universities as key solutions providers: Leveraging our local and global networks for innovation.

The second annual U7+ Worldwide Student Forum, was hosted by University College London with support from Northwestern University and the U7+ Student Leaders Board. The Forum brought student voices from 24 U7+ universities in 12 countries to creating solutions that take the interests and rights of future generations into account.
